Sanofi to transfer 20 medicines to Cheplapharm

Sanofi will transfer 20 of its established medicines and three manufacturing sites to Germany‑based Cheplapharm. The move is said to be partly aimed at freeing up resources for the development of new medicines.

The transaction, which builds on the companies’ long‑standing collaboration, will also give Sanofi a 26.4% equity stake in Cheplapharm.

Among the medicines being transferred is the high‑selling anticoagulant Lovenox/Clexane (enoxaparin), along with 19 other older, approved medicines whose names will be announced later.
